New York, NY, May 16, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Headhuntable.com announced the launch of the first social recruiting platform for startups and top tech companies to find the highest ranked/best engineers and developers to build their web and mobile applications. Headhuntable is at its core a social network for developers which allows developers to compete against each other for top rankings to receive access to great gigs and opportunities.

The launch of Headhuntable could potentially shake the tech recruiting world as there is no current proven method to find and procure top tech talent for an affordable cost. For many years companies have spent thousands of dollars trying to recruit tech talent while hoping for the best. For a young startup or even a top tech company its hard to pay thousands on a candidate and hope that he or she will be a good fit. Headhuntable aims to fix this problem by having developers recommend each other and engage in challenges which test their knowledge on the technologies they work with. In the recruiting world, recruiters use recommendations usually through email or phone but Headhuntable takes this concept and brings it online so that now any developer can now recommend another developer for a job they feel they are suited for.

Headhuntable also allows developers to socialize with each other and compete on challenges to receive recognition. Developers can setup profiles, showcase their projects and their source code. There currently aren't many channels available for a developer to showcase his or her own work. Usually developers would have to setup a website to showcase their work but Headhuntable has provided the means for a developer to have their own personal page to showcase their best work and code.

Headhuntable.com founder Nathan Hallford commented “Our main goal is to streamline the tech recruiting process so that all the talented and prescreened head-huntable developers will be found on Headhuntable. Essentially if your looking for the best engineer on the market you'd head to Headhuntable.”

Headhuntable.com has recently launched in beta. Registration is free and employers can also post a job for free while the product is in beta.
