)-- Business communications firm Gibbs & Soell, Inc. has enhanced its creative expertise with the appointment of design veteran Alan Hicks to the new position of Creative Director. Hicks will be based in the firm’s office in Raleigh, N.C., where he will oversee creative strategy, design and production assignments for the agency and its clients, while working closely with external partners.
As Gibbs & Soell continues to expand its portfolio of creative services, Hicks will guide the development of multimedia client programs and assets that rely on strong visual and interactive elements to deliver a robust brand experience for target audiences. Creative content will include corporate presentations; brand identities; marketing material; custom online applications; sales collateral; advertisements; and packaging and displays, among a broad array of offerings.

In a 20-year career that spanned his tenure at Signal and earlier stints at design firms Sally Johns Design, Art Farm and Paul Flum Ideas, Hicks earned a solid reputation as an expert counselor on design strategies for a broad array of multimedia platforms including, print, digital, social, mobile, out-of-home, and point-of-purchase.
