Columbus, OH, May 23, 2012 --(PR.com
)-- The Scholastic Sports Network launches their new website by broadcasting live the Ohio boy's high school tennis finals on May 26th. The broadcast will appear at www.scholasticsportsnetwork.com/ontheair.html, and can be heard on android, blackberry, and iPhones as well.
The Scholastic Sports Network had planned to begin live broadcasts in the fall by carrying various local high school football, but found that the opportunity to broadcast this event was something that was too good to be true.
"Part of our initiative was to promote and broadcast some of the less followed sports on the scholastic level," said Frank Gordon, president of the Scholastic Sports Network. "As we were gearing up to dive in to the upcoming football season, this opportunity presented itself and it is exactly what we eventually were going to do. In fact it has forced us to escalate our plans to include summer events for other sports such as softball and basketball. I'm so happy that we will be broadcasting this event and will have the chance to showcase the quality of tennis that exists at this level."
The Ohio boy's tennis finals will be held on Friday and Saturday, May 25th and 26th, at The Ohio State Varsity Outdoor Tennis Courts, in Columbus, OH. The Scholastic Sports Network's coverage will begin on Saturday at 8:45, with pre-recorded interviews broadcast starting on Friday.
