CTIA WIRELESS Wrap-Up: Unnecto Gains Traction with New Push Mail and Messenger-Equipped GSM Mobile Phones

Following a successful showing at CTIA WIRELESS 2012, Unnecto has gained media attention for its line of feature GSM mobile phones as well as its more advanced Android devices.

New York, NY, May 23, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Unnecto, a growing manufacturer of GSM cell phones, made a bold first impression at the recent CTIA WIRELESS Conference 2012 in New Orleans, which ran May 8–10. Available online at http://www.Unnecto.com, the company used its CTIA debut to showcase its ever-expanding collection of unlocked GSM cell phones.

"At CTIA, Unnecto was able to introduce peers and members of the press to our line of stylish, capable GSM mobile phones, and to share the Unnecto mission of delivering value and accessibility to consumers. After all, first impressions are important," said Daniel Moy, a product manager for the unlocked GSM mobile phone manufacturer.

Boasting the biggest booth within CTIA's 325,000 sq. ft. of exhibition space, Unnecto presented 10 demo models from its collection of GSM cell phones, including models equipped with the company's proprietary Push Mail and Messenger apps. Designed specifically for the Unnecto operating system, these native apps run in the background of other applications to conserve battery power while still keeping users connected. Unnecto Push Mail is compatible with Microsoft Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, and Windows Live, in addition to users' own email providers, and the application is available on Unnecto's Shell, Pebble, Edge, Tap, Blaze, and Pro GSM mobile phones.

Complementing the Push Mail app, the company's Push Messenger offers instant messaging between Unnecto unlocked GSM cell phones, in addition to support for Facebook Messenger and Google Talk. The messenger is present on the Shell, Edge, Tap, Blaze, and Pro devices.

Unnecto also invited visitors to test out its two Android models, the 2G Drone and the all-new 3G Quattro. Both running on Android OS, v2.2 (Froyo), the GSM mobile phones will offer consumers all of the standard Android features, without any of the sluggishness common among unlocked Android devices. The Quattro, which earned coverage in PC Magazine, CNET, Engadget, and other prominent outlets, additionally offers a 5 MP camera with video recording functionality.

Regarding future devices, Unnecto also hinted at CTIA that its first tablet will launch over the summer. The tablet will be Wi-Fi-only and run on the Android OS, Moy noted. The manufacturer additionally revealed that it plans to launch Bluetooth headsets and other phone gear in the near future, and that down the line it will augment its GSM mobile phones with some CDMA devices.
