New York, NY, May 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Tiffany Crawford, Editor at theCorporateGoddess.com, HuffPo Blogger, and acclaimed Speaker announced today that she is launching an internship and mentoring program for NYC Teens. The program was actually prompted (inspired) by a request from teens. Tiffany recently participated on a panel where the teen group asked her if tCG had available internships. They expressed interest in being her target audience.

One teen said, “I think you should, because we can gain from you and you seem cool.” A number of others, proclaimed, “Do you have internships?” At the time there wasn’t. But, with this feedback, Tiffany thought, “Why not?” Thus, catalyzing the creation of this program.

Needless to say, Tiffany will be leading the program herself. 30 high school Sophomores and Juniors from NYC Public Schools will be chosen through an application process, requiring a writing sample.

The Corporate Goddess Digital and New Media Internship and Mentoring Program is a four-week program held in August. The participants will meet once a week for three hours to discuss life topics and express themselves through writing and digital media. All students will develop their own blog on theCorporateGoddess.com’s, to be released, teen vertical.

The program is for teenagers who see themselves as leaders in their communities, with the desire to inspire others and make a difference through writing and digital media. Technical topics such as editorial calendars, categories, and social media strategy will be covered in parallel with life mentoring and leadership conversations for the teen girls.

Tiffany hopes to create an on-going community for the young ladies to support each other personally while they grow as leaders and writers in their community. A focus will be placed on developing each teen’s voice and how they want to share their gifts.
