Bernice A. King, Daughter of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King, Will Attend Book Signing Event at Her Father’s Memorial

Washington, DC, May 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Eastern National is proud to announce that Bernice A. King, daughter of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Coretta Scott King, will be present for a book signing event to be held at the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial, located at 1964 Independence Avenue, Southwest, Washington, DC. The event will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012, and will promote Desert Rose, the memoir of her mother Coretta Scott King.

The memoir, published by the University of Alabama Press, profiles Mrs. King’s upbringing, her courtship and relationship with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the impact she had on the world after her husband’s assassination and her mission to continue her husband’s work. Written by Mrs. King’s sister Edythe Scott Bagley, Desert Rose will be available for purchase at the site by the Memorial’s cooperating association, Eastern National. Ms. King will sign copies of Desert Rose from 11:00AM to 1:00PM.
