Nashville, TN, May 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Bobby Brooks Wilson Begins New Project For Plateau Music

Bobby Brooks Wilson, the son of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legend Jack Leroy “Jackie” Wilson, Jr., is recording a project with producer Tony Mantor for Mantor’s Plateau Music. The twelve cut album will mix some of Jackie’s biggest hits (he recorded over 50 hit singles, spanning R&B, pop, soul, doo-wop and easy listening after launching his solo career in 1957) with brand new material.

Bobbie and Tony were first introduced through mutual friend, Brenda Brown. “My team had looked at several producers and after meeting Tony we all felt that he would bring great energy and excitement to this venture. His style of production and knowledge of the market, along with his successes at radio, will give us a very competitive edge. I am very excited about our relationship,” says Wilson.

“The recent revival of the R&B style in pop and a resurgence of the Memphis influence in country opens new vistas for this versatile artist,” says Mantor. “We will retain the integrity of the classic songs while imparting contemporary production values. The addition of new material will give fans of Jackie Wilson the opportunity to hear their favorite songs recorded by his son, while introducing Bobby Brooks Wilson to a new, broader audience worldwide."
