NeuroHealth welcomes neuropsychologist P. Douglas Callan, Ph.D. to its clinical team

Troy, MI, June 10, 2007 --(PR.com)-- NeuroHealth today announced that P. Douglas Callan, Ph.D., has joined its team of health care providers. Dr. Callan is a licensed psychologist who specializes in testing, assessment and treatment of ADHD, traumatic brain injury and related conditions. He has extensive experience in the area of neuropsychological assessment, evidenced-based treatment planning and quality control / improvement of mental health services delivery. Dr. Callan has a doctorate and master’s degree in psychology, as well as a bachelors of science in elementary education / special education. Dr. Callan completed a pre-doctoral internship through Michigan State University School of Medicine – Hurley Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychological Specialties in Psychological Assessment, Evaluation and Testing. His professional affiliations include the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychologists, American College of Forensic Examiners and the National Board of Cognitive Behavioral Therapists, to name just a few. Dr. Callan has also held academic appointments at various institutions including Michigan State University. Prior to joining NeuroHealth, Dr. Callan’s professional experience included running a successful private practice and holding positions including Senior Director of Quality Improvement and Standards for Genesee County Community Mental Health Services. Dr. Callan has presented and/or published over 100 on testing and assessment, health / medical psychology, cognitive / behavioral therapies, administration and supervision, and sport psychology.
