Minnesota Sinfonia Announces Free Summer Concert Schedule


Minneapolis, MN, May 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- This summer, the Minnesota Sinfonia will offer two Summer Concert Series chamber orchestra performances at Lake Harriet Bandshell on June 22 and July 20 and one performance at Lake Phalen Park in St. Paul on June 21. Also on the schedule in June and July are six family pops concerts and one children’s concert in and around the metro area. All concerts are free to the public (first-come, first seated), and children are always welcome to attend.

Eagan Family Pops Concert
Sunday, June 17 at 7:00pm

Featuring Sarah Grimes, Senior Division Winner of the 2012 Young Artist Competition, plus 25 local student musicians performing a joint concert with the musicians of the Minnesota Sinfonia. The concert will also feature the 2012 winning composition from the 2012 Junior Composers Competition as well as Dvorak’s New World.

The Minnesota Sinfonia is a professional chamber orchestra whose mission is to serve the musical and educational needs of the citizens of Minnesota, especially families with children, inner-city youth, seniors and those with limited financial means.
