Server Side Design Co-Sponsors Allen Open Golf Tournament

Server Side Design co-sponsors a golf tournament that is raising funds for a museum and to fight cancer.

Houston, TX, May 27, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Server Side Design, a leading web marketing company in Houston, recently co-sponsored the inaugural Allen Open Golf Tournament hosted by the Allen Academy Alumni Network. The event supported the Allen Academy Alumni Center and Museum as well as the St. Joseph’s Cancer Research Center.

Funds raised from the golf tournament will go toward the Alumni Center and Museum, which is going to be the hub of activity on campus. It will also feature a display area showcasing the Allen Academy’s military school’s fascinating history. The funds also assist the St. Joseph Cancer Research Center in hopes of finding alternate treatments for the disease that were previously unavailable.

"The Allen Open was a fantastic day full of golf, good food and networking, all for the wonderful Cancer Research Program at St. Joseph's,” said Ricky Westbrook, SSD PPC account manager. “SSD was proud to be a part of the event and we look forward to future events.”

Trophies were awarded to the winning teams and pro shop gift certificates were handed out to the top four teams including the winners for the longest drive and the closest to the pin.

Server Side Design was one of eight sponsors for the tournament, which was held on May 16 at the Miramont Country Club in Bryan, TX. This is one of several fundraisers the web marketing company has sponsored since the beginning of 2012. Earlier this year, they co-sponsored fundraisers for the Dennis Sehorn Foundation, which raises money for those suffering from ALS/Lou Gehrig’s Disease, the 2012 Annual Children’s Easter Basket Program presented by the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Houston Metro Lodge #98, the ‘BEAR the Load Luncheon’, and the Vincent Van Gough Birthday Celebration at Texas Children’s Hospital.

“We feel it is imperative to not only offer excellent web marketing services, but to contribute to the well-being of our surrounding community,” said Roger Janik, SSD president and principal. “If donating money toward a worthy cause is going to help someone down the road, then we are certainly willing to give of our time to events such as the Allen Open Golf Tournament.”
