Early Registration Deadline for Michigan No Kill Conference

Bloomfield Hills, MI, May 31, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Early registration for the Michigan Pet Fund Alliance’s second annual Michigan No Kill Conference ends Thursday, May 31.

Opening session keynote speaker Nathan Winograd, noted animal advocate, author and director of the No Kill Advocacy Center in Oakland, CA, will assure that this year’s conference in Lansing, Thursday and Friday, Sept. 20 and 21, will be another sell-out.

The “Getting to the Goal” conference will also feature National Canine Research Council, Director of Communications and Publications, Don Cleary and Animal Farm Foundation, Executive Director, Stacey Coleman who, along with Winograd, will conduct breakout sessions. Conference tracks include topics such as Innovations in Animal Welfare, Reducing Shelter Intake and Working for Change.

Thursday’s session runs from noon to 5 p.m. at the Lansing Radisson Hotel, followed by a networking cocktail reception and awards banquet to recognize shelters with the best save rates in the state.

The conference moves to the Lansing Center for Friday’s 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. sessions, which include lunch and a final panel discussion with the award winners. A new Michigan Rescue Certification program will be introduced at the conference.

Join shelter and rescue personnel, animal control workers, veterinarians, policy makers and animal welfare advocates and volunteers to learn how to save the lives of companion animals by implementing the No Kill Equation.
