London, United Kingdom, June 13, 2007 --(PR.com
)-- Two new plays, by writer Karen Rouse and ideal for small scale productions and touring companies, are now available to download at www.lulu.com/karenrouse
Following Yago is a romantic comedy, that details the relationship between married couple, Maddy and Jack when, one day, Maddy brings home a self-help book with a view to improving what Jack thought was a perfectly happy relationship.
"An engaging and affecting story, which explores the complexity of married life with real sensitivity." (Tessa Ross, head of FilmFour)
“It’s a two-hander so ideal for small scale productions and touring companies. The romantic comedy has always been a popular genre and Following Yago is all about men and women and how we can interpret situations differently.” (Karen Rouse)
Ordinary World is comedy drama that tells the story of Ellen, a publicist who has a successful career, a loving family and the perfect life. Then she begins to experience vivid dreams and hallucinations that depict a world of terrifying isolation and the loss of her world as she knows it.
“Ordinary World is a darker play but people like it because it challenges the ideas of our levels of fantasy and reality, drawing on the viewer’s interpretation of events to question where the boundaries lie.” (Karen Rouse)
Both plays are available, with free preview scenes, at www.lulu.com/karenrouse
