)-- French/West/Vaughan (FWV), one of the nation’s leading independent public relations and brand communications agencies, today announced Vice President Jay Wisse, who leads the agency’s Sports and Entertainment practice, was recently named to the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Marketing Representative Advisory Council (MRAC). MRAC is a group of 10 NFL agents and marketing representatives who have been selected to help guide the NFLPA in its programs and practices to increase off-field revenue for its 1,900-plus active NFL players.
The committee focuses on discussing challenges, current issues, concerns and finding solutions that affect member businesses and impact the NFLPA. Ultimately, MRAC meetings and larger marketing forums will serve to guide and assist the NFLPA in providing the best support it can generate to maximize the marketability of the players.
Wisse – who works closely with running back Arian Foster and safety Glover Quin, both of the Houston Texans, as well as quarterback Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks – will serve a two-year term and was welcomed into the council on May 19, 2012 during the NFL Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles.
