Durham, NC, June 10, 2012 --(PR.com)-- American Journal Experts (AJE) has launched a new author resources site, AJE Expert Edge (http://expertedge.journalexperts.com). Created by writing and publishing experts on AJE’s staff, the site will offer free articles on topics like writing a manuscript, creating figures, choosing the right journal, and navigating changes in the publishing industry.

“Our clients made it clear that they were looking for writing resources that would help them publish in English,” said Dr. Ben Mudrak, AJE’s Education Program Manager. “We have so many staff members who have successfully navigated the publishing process themselves that we knew we would have a wealth of material to draw from when we created Expert Edge.”

Articles will be written by AJE staff members who have years of writing and editing experience and have published their own work. In addition to articles about writing and publishing, AJE Expert Edge will provide editing tips, links to frequently used style guides, an English glossary, and a recommended reading list. New resources and articles will be added weekly. Users can sign up for updates, ask questions, and suggest article topics on the Expert Edge site.

Expert Edge is part of AJE’s new Education division, which also provides in-person workshops to answer authors’ questions about the publication process. Workshops have been given in multiple cities in Mexico and Brazil, and the program will soon be expanded to other countries.

“Some of the material we offer on Expert Edge ties into the seminars we’ve been giving over the past year,” said Mudrak. “Having the chance to meet with customers in their own countries and speak with them about the more difficult aspects of publishing in English has helped us create a site that directly addresses their needs.”
