Panel Will Discuss Proven Risk Management Techniques for Temporary Staffing Companies and PEOs During Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference

Radnor, PA, June 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- It’s always something in the world of temporary staffing firms. New—and old—problems can suddenly appear and reappear. Attendees at the August 19-23 Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference at the Orlando World Center Marriott will learn how to lessen the element of surprise from a panel of industry experts. Four risk, insurance, and staffing executives will discuss the latest workers’ compensation fraud “red flags,” suggest ways to avoid claims, outline return-to-work strategies, and examine the management of pharmacy-related costs during a program entitled “Black Swans of PEOs and Bed Bugs of Temporary Staffing.”

Moderating “Black Swans of PEOs and Bed Bugs of Temporary Staffing” is Robert G. Purdy, President and CEO of AIC Underwriters, LLC in Radnor, Penn. Panel members are Eileen Auen, chairman and CEO of PMSI in Tampa, Fla.; Ed Cotilla, founder and President of Ethos Risk Services in St. Petersburg, Fla.; and Hunter Moss, COO of US Administrator Claims in Kennesaw, Ga.

The session will be presented from 2:45 to 4:00 pm on Tuesday, August 21.

About WCEC & WCI

Each year the Workers’ Compensation Institute (WCI) presents the Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference (WCEC). The largest gathering of its kind in the nation, it attracts some 8,000 participants and more than 300 exhibitors from over 35 states and a number of foreign countries. Now in its 67th year, the conference provides exceptional educational and networking opportunities for everyone involved in the workers’ compensation industry—risk managers, insurers, brokers, agents, employers, employees, and claims, medical, and legal professionals. The 2012 conference will be held August 19-23 at the Orlando World Center Marriott.

The WCI is a nonprofit, nonpartisan educational organization that serves as a comprehensive resource to all members of the workers’ compensation community. The WCI is an outgrowth of the long-established Florida Workers’ Compensation Institute. FWCI remains in existence under the WCI umbrella and continues its Florida focus, while the national organization provides a broader outreach across all states.
