Damages Star Glenn Close Guests on Animal Radio®

Los Angeles, CA, June 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Six time Academy Award nominee Glenn Close will guest host America's most-listened-to pet talk, Animal Radio®, on Saturday June 16th, noon eastern on XM Satellite Radio channel 166 as well as 101 AM/FM affiliates.

Glenn's role as the ruthless layer, Patty Hewes, on DirecTV’s Damages, is a far stretch for Glenn when it comes to the animals. Even though she is remembered for her chilling roles as the scheming aristocrat Madame de Merteuil in Dangerous Liaisons; terrorizing puppies as Cruella di Vil in 101 Dalmatians; as the psychotic book editor Alex Forrest in Fatal Attraction, and now in, Damages, where her character has a dog killed, Glenn wants to state she is nothing like these characters, and in fact is a big animal lover!

Glenn grew up with animals and remembers her first pet, which was a Collie. Unfortunately she lived in a rural setting, where people travelled the roads very fast, and where her Collie met an untimely death. Even though Glenn was a small child, she remembers him well and said she even, "Wore his collar as a belt," after that.

Glenn is part of the Animal Radio's Season of Stars, which has included NBC's The Office Jenna Fischer, Ed Asner, Gary Burghoff, Saturday Night Live's Victoria Jackson, Kristin Chenoweth, Carrie Ann Inaba, Elayne Boosler, Eddie Money, Ed Begley, Jr., Betty White and Davey Jones.
