Red Entertainment to Speak at CBGB Music Conference

New York’s Leading Talent Agency Invited to Discuss the “Nuts” and Bolts” of the Music Industry.

New York, NY, June 21, 2012 --(PR.com)-- CBGB, home to much of New York City’s musical history, will be hosting a music festival and conference from July 5th through the 8th. CBGB was once a popular music club located in Manhattan featuring popular punk and hardcore bands such as the Ramones, Misfits, Blondie, and the Talking Heads. After its closure in 2006, this will be its first ever conference and festival.

In addition to featuring over 300 bands at 30 different locations, CBGB will be holding a two-day conference presenting some of the industry’s top professionals from agencies, record labels, publishers, and promoters. One of the agencies speaking at the conference will be Red Entertainment; one of New York’s leading talent agencies.

Established in in 2002 by Carlos Keyes, Red Entertainment has carved out a distinctive niche in the entertainment landscape and earned a reputation for putting artists' interests above all else. The agency has a impressively diverse client roster including J.T. Taylor from “Kool & the Gang”, Kathy Sledge from the “Sledge Sisters,” Tangerine Dream, and Dionne Warwick.

Mr. Keyes and Dir. of Management, Jessica Sternick is scheduled to speak on July 6th of the conference to lend his expertise and advice on the business side of the music industry. During his panel he will be discussing how to navigate making contact with promoters, venue owners, other musicians, fans and supporters along with the benefits of hiring a booking agent and what good ones to look for when looking for bands.
