Charlottesville, VA, June 22, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Second Annual Cville Go Green Fest will take place on Saturday, July 7th from 10am to 2pm at Snow’s Garden Center at 1875 Avon Street Extended. Dixon Disposal and Snow’s Garden Center are sponsoring this event to increase our communities’ eco-awareness. Local green businesses have been invited to participate and share their own eco-friendly practices, so attendees will get a well-rounded Eco-Education. The Charlottesville Albemarle SPCA will bring by their "recycled adoptable companions" and Cville Inflatables will debut their newest attraction, the “Tropical Tornado,” a fabulous wet and wild waterslide for the kids. There will be a magician and facepainting for the kids as well. There will be plenty of free food, give-aways and eco-themed fun. Z-95s Les Sinclair will be broadcast Live at this event.

All-In-One-Can Recyclers, Dixon Disposal and long-time green-thumbers, Snow’s Garden Center have joined forces to bring eco-enlightenment to Charlottesville. “Recycling isn’t the only thing we can do to protect our future Earth,” said Mike Dixon. “It’s very important that we reduce our waste and reuse items as often as possible.” Corbin Snow, from the 4th generation of Snow’s who have operated their local Garden Center and Landscaping Service for almost 100 years stated, “Protecting the Earth for future generations is essential. Easier ways exist, we just need to be educated.”

Both Snow’s and Dixon are committed to supporting their community, so, with encouragement from their mutual marketing company, Creative Juices, they started an annual tradition. The Cville Go Green Fest is a family-oriented event held to educate the public on ways to save energy, live healthy and reduce their impact on the earth. “It’s encouraging how many local businesses want to be a part of this event,” said Denise Hood, owner of Creative Juices Marketing. “We have a terrific group of folks who will educate you on everything from saving energy in your home to the benefits of hemp pants.”

The Cville Go Green Fest is scheduled for Saturday, July 7th from 10-2. Snows Garden Center is located just South of Charlottesville at 1875 Avon Street Extended. Visit cvillegogreen.com for more information, a list of participating businesses and daily blogs and videos.
