William Peace University Names Vanessa Tinsley, Ph.D., as Director of Institutional Research

Research Expert with 20 Years Experience Joins Four-Year Baccalaureate University.

Raleigh, NC, June 23, 2012 --(PR.com)-- William Peace University (http://www.peace.edu), a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, has announced that Vanessa Tinsley, Ph.D., has been named its new director of institutional research. In this position, Dr. Tinsley will administer student assessments, both on the national and local level, to assist in the evaluation of academic progress. Through analysis of both academia and public opinion, Tinsley will use campus research collected for overall university improvements. With 20 years of professional industry experience, Tinsley assumes her new position after serving as data analyst for the university, where she analyzed student data regarding test scores and student persistence and retention. Her prior experience includes serving as a research assistant in a Citicorp Behavioral Science Research Council Grant for Duke University in Durham, N.C., and two studies for Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland and as field director for the National Institute of Aging Merit Award Grant at Case Western Reserve. Tinsley earned her B.A. and M.A. degrees in sociology from Case Western Reserve and her Ph.D. in sociology from Duke. She resides in Chapel Hill, N.C.
