Regan Career Launches New Medical Assistant Program and Exclusive MA-Plus Curriculum

Los Angeles, CA, June 24, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Regan Career Institute (RCI) is proud to announce its new state approved Medical Assistant (MA) Program. The Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) has approved RCI’s MA program and curriculum effective May 2012.

In ten short months an RCI graduate will complete the Medical Assistant Course. Every RCI graduate will receive a valid nationally recognized certificate. The MA course taught at RCI prepares each student to be a successful Medical Assistant with opportunities to work in doctor offices, clinics, hospitals, and many more.

In the constant effort to better prepare each of their graduates, RCI also exclusively bundles a Phlebotomy Certificate and the EKG Certificate with the MA. This is called their MA+ program. This is a unique program that incorporates all 3 of the programs in which a successful graduate will receive a Medical Assistant National Certificate (MA), a State Certified Phlebotomy Technician Certificate (CPT1), and an Electrocardiography Certificate (EKG). All 3 of which are state and nationally recognized. Also included in the MA+ program will be introductory training using the Holter Monitor.

Both the RCI MA & MA+ Program will prepare students to become multi-skilled professionals dedicated to assisting in patient care management. These health care professionals will perform administrative and clinical duties and may manage emergency situations, facilities, and/or personnel. Medical Assistants will work in physicians’ offices, clinics, hospitals and other medical facilities under the supervision of a physician. The MA will have extensive training to apply their skills in the front and back medical office.

RCI specializes in recognizing the needs of the current marketplace and strives to deliver a high quality education and training to best equip its graduates at an affordable price. The student base encompasses many different backgrounds from all over California, Nevada, Arizona, and other states nationwide.

Regan Career Institute has been a leader and innovator in the vocational allied healthcare field since its establishment in 2004. On October 11, 2009, Governor Schwarzenegger signed an assembly bill establishing the Bureau for Postsecondary Education within the Department of Consumer Affairs. The Bureau has determined RCI has met or exceeded the minimum standards contained in the California Education Code and the California Code of Regulations. BPPE has already approved several educational programs offered by RCI.
