Nominations are Open for the Organizing Awards

The 2012 Organizing Awards which will be held on October 20th has opened nominations.

Los Angeles, CA, June 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Have a favorite organizing product? Nominate it for a 2012 Organizing Award.

From now until July 27, the public can nominate its organizational favorites in 23 categories, including Best Organizing Product Retailer, Best Organizing Book and Best Office Organizing Product.

In keeping with changes in the organizing industry, five new categories were added this year: Best Business Organizer, Best Small Space Organizer, Best Expert in Chronic Disorganization, Best Paperless/Electronic Organizer and Best Organizing Mobile App.

“We wanted to celebrate those special niches that require a specific skill set and I think we've made some great choices,” said Tara Kenavan, co-chair of the event.

Nominations can be made at www.organizingawards.com.

Up to five finalists will be selected in each category based on how well each nominee fits the description and his/her/its overall impact in the organizing industry.

The Organizing Awards are being held on October 20 at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City. Trish Suhr, the comedienne known as the Yard Sale Diva on the Style Network’s Clean House, is hosting the event.

About the Organizing Awards:
The 2012 Organizing Awards, now in its seventh year, is presented to honor outstanding achievements and contributions to the organization and productivity professions and to recognize professional organizers, organizing retailers, products, services and resources, charities, technology providers, authors and the media. A multitude of exhibitors will feature new products, services, books, closet systems and accessories and technology and office products, all designed to showcase the benefits of better personal productivity, time saving techniques and the advantages of living in a streamlined home and office environment – just what the organizing awards are all about.

It is a fundraising and public awareness event that is produced and presented by the Los Angeles and New York chapters of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO-LA and NAPO-NY), two not-for-profit organizations meeting IRS Tax Code 501(c)(3) requirements. Sponsorship opportunities are available and will underwrite production costs. Proceeds from the event benefit NAPO-LA and NAPO-NY and are used for educational programs.
