Networking Mixer

Los Angeles, CA, June 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Angel City Ent and Surge Event have partnered together to host a series of recording industry mixers at rock’n’roll landmark The Viper Room. Monday, July 2nd is the planned kick-off for Independent Music LA’s slate of networking events. Indie bands looking to gain access to some of the music industry’s top dealmakers will have access to legitimate resources and opportunities. Industry execs and their creative counterparts will turn the famed Viper Room into a networking hot spot the first Monday of every month from 7 p.m.- 9 p.m.

Independent Music LA’s vision behind the series of networking events is to bring together record labels, producers, promoters, photographers, video directors, web designers, managers and bands to make valuable connections in an environment that fosters new relationships and inspires creative projects.

Highlighting the opening mixer on July 2nd will be Guest Speaker Cindi Avnet. Ms Avnet’s pedigree in the recording industry dates back five decades when her grandfather, Charles Avnet, purchased Liberty Records (now part of the Capitol Records family) in 1963. Her career as a music supervisor for film and television has garnered respect among her peers and her professional advice will offer valuable insight to those looking to translate their music across different mediums.
