Orting, WA, June 20, 2007 --(PR.com
)-- Not even a year ago it would only have been a dream, but using the latest in Internet Technology Orting resident and independent filmmaker Cliff Lee is able to produce and distribute his own DVD. CustomFlix.com, an Amazon.com company, has democratized the independent filmmaking industry. By utilizing state of the art manufacturing technology alongside Amazon.com's large ecommerce presence independent filmmakers can bypass the old fashioned distribution models and go directly to the public.
"I've been experimenting with different production techniques and film ideas, but was always prevented by going much farther because of the DVD distribution barrier." Cliff Lee says. "But with CustomFlix and Amazon I now have the means to get my movie out to the public."
Cliff Lee's movie is called The Space Movie and it combines awe inspiring NASA footage with music from his instrumental band Empyrion. "I got the idea from my kids. They are really into space right now and I thought it would be neat to show them real images instead of some of the cartoon images in the kids books. I put a short clip together with some of my music and they kept begging me for more. Before I knew it I had a full 30 minute movie."
Cliff is looking forward to exploring some exciting avenues to get people to see his movie. "I'd love to partner with places like the Pacific Science Center or some schools and libraries. The movie is perfect for an educational as well as entertainment venue." There is an online discount coupon available upon request. Educators and Retailers who are interested can mail Cliff Lee a request on official company letterhead to PO Box 1522, Orting, WA 98360 and they'll be able to get the discount code for online orders. The movie is currently available through Amazon.com, Ebay.com, and TheSpaceMovie.com.
