New York, NY, July 10, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Robert M. Kottke to Provide Tax Education at Affiliate Summit East 2012

Owner and operator of on-line based consulting firm oregontaxservicesltd.com, Robert M. Kottke LTC 1505 (Licensed Tax Consultant) will share his love and know-how of taxes with small business owners and individuals from around the country at Affiliate Summit East 2012 in New York City this summer. As a small business owner, tax consultant and educator, Kottke is an expert in tax preparation and helps companies and individuals create customized tax plans in order to maximize their profits and grow their businesses.

Affiliate Summit was formed in 2003 as the premier affiliate marketing conference in the country. Affiliate marketers attending the conference will have the opportunity to rub shoulders with one another, learn the latest tools of the trade and to network with potential marketing partners. One of the hot topics of the day for affiliate marketers (on-line businesses and their advertising partners) is the increasing complexity associated with tax laws.

Since affiliate marketing is an internet-based business, calculating taxes, especially sales tax can be a frustrating experience. Tax specialist Robert Kottke was chosen to lead a round table discussion at Affiliate Summit East where he will share his enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge of tax accounting with convention goers. “Taxes are fun! It’s a fun business to be in,” Kottke said. “You’ve got to be nuts to do taxes! I have known CPA’s who wouldn’t touch a tax return, but I love it!”

Because of his passion for helping individuals and small businesses with their taxes, Kottke created his on-line consulting company, Tax Help Seminars. He said he diligently keeps up-to-date on current tax laws through personal research and continuing education classes in order to pass-on the most effective tax advice to his clients. “It may take me an hour to talk to somebody about a small return, but I want everyone to understand what’s going on,” he said.

In addition to Kottke’s round table event, Affiliate Summit East will also provide conference goers the opportunity to peruse its exhibit hall filled with various affiliate merchants, vendors, and networks, and will offer them educational seminars and round table events covering the latest trends and information from experts in the field.

The Conference, which is one of two large annual conventions hosted by Affiliate Summit, will run from Sunday, August 12th through Tuesday, August 14th at the Hilton in New York City. According to its website, each Affiliate Summit event has sold out in advance.

Affiliate marketing is a popular and growing business. According to a report from Forrester Research, affiliate marketing is expected to rise to $4 billion in 2014, from $1.9 billion in 2009. Scot Wingo, chief executive of Channel Advisor, a retail consulting firm and software company in Morrisville, N.C., said that about 5 percent of all Internet commerce runs through affiliate marketers.
