The Greensheet Hires New E-Commerce General Manager

Marketing Veteran Brings Expertise to Top Texas Advertising Solutions Powerhouse

Houston, TX, July 12, 2012 --( The Greensheet, Texas’ locally-focused classified leader and cornerstone of Houston, Austin, Dallas and Fort Worth business, has hired brand marketing champion Dirk Van Slyke as its new General Manager of E-Commerce.

“This hire is the latest step in strengthening our full-service business solutions package,” said CEO Kathy Douglass, CEO of The Greensheet. “Dirk is here to help us fortify our digital presence, grow our brand and better serve our customers.”

Van Slyke, an advertising and marketing expert with an extensive portfolio of successful marketing campaigns on behalf of some of the world’s most well-known brands, will lead The Greensheet’s Brand Marketing and E-Commerce Department. His responsibilities at The Greensheet will include product lifecycle planning, customer service enhancement, and promotion of customer loyalty.

The hiring comes on the heels of The Greensheet’s advanced digital push, a campaign that has seen the rise of multiple company social media platforms, extensive blog outreach, widespread efforts to build a better electronic presence for the brand, and a new and improved website, complete with comprehensive web functionality for all customers.

Van Slyke, a Houston native and graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing and advertising, having worked for some of the most successful advertising agencies in the country. Van Slyke spent the early part of his career with The Richards Group and GSD&M in Dallas and Austin, respectively, representing a vast number of prominent clients, including Continental Airlines, Neiman Marcus and Jiffy Lube. The past 13 years have been spent primarily as a consultant growing small to medium size and early stage companies.
