Russian Formula Renault 3.5 Drivers Mikhail Aleshin and Anton Nebylitskiy Ready to Race on Their Home Soil During Opening Weekend at Moscow Raceway

There are quite a few firsts for the 2012 World Series by Renault (WSR) Russian Formula Renault 3.5 team, Team Russia France Racing (RFR). At the onset, they may be seen as a “startup” team, when in fact a high level of professionalism and years of knowledge exist behind the great minds of Team RFR.

Moscow, Russia, July 13, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Owned by successful Russian businessman Dmitri Sapgir, Team RFR is based at the Circuit Paul Armagnac in Nogaro, France and run on a day-to-day basis by French team management Bruno Besson and Ghislain Boetti, both former race car drivers themselves. A dream put to reality resulting from the culmination of hard work over the last four years, the team, previously known as KMP Racing, has a new name this season - along with a new driver, former 2010 World Series by Renault (WSR) Champion, Mikhail Aleshin. Currently ranked number 11 as a driver - and as a team - in the recent Formula Renault 3.5 standings, Team RFR’s goal is to take away one of those numbers and become number 1 in the Series. The Russian team’s premier race in their homeland during opening weekend at Moscow Raceway is of undeniable importance to both Aleshin and teammate Anton Nebylitskiy.

The brainchild of German engineer, auto racer and circuit designer Hermann Tilke, the brand new Moscow Raceway is the first Russian meeting for the World Series by Renault. Although the challenge of conquering a new circuit resonates with each driver competing in the Series, WSR teams did have a chance to test out the Ellip6 simulator available in the paddock at the Nürburgring. Teammates Aleshin and Nebylitskiy are ready to put their skills to action this weekend in Russia.

“The Moscow race means so much to all of us at Team RFR. I already feel the approach of that moment. A lot of my friends will come to cheer us on, and they want to see great results. We have to work particularly hard in our native land. And bring joy to all of our fans!”- A. Nebylitskiy

Aleshin adds, “The Moscow event is the most important race for Team RFR this season. We are thankful for the support of our fans and can’t wait to experience the Moscow Raceway.”

From a young age, both Aleshin, 25, and Nebylitskiy, 22, knew that motorsports was their passion, and their fathers motivated them to get their start in racing. “My life ambition began when I was 7 years old. My dad put me on a go kart as a hobby for me. After that, it all started,” says Aleshin. Nebylitskiy shares, “My father was a race car driver himself in the past, having won several championships, and in 2005 winning his first international title. I looked up to him and knew this was what I wanted to do.“

“I like everything about racing. The adrenaline rush and the speed of the car.
It’s a personal thing and a connection with the sport when I am in the driver’s
seat.” - M. Aleshin

Each Team RFR driver defines their love of racing. Nebylitskiy says, “Being behind the wheel is the greatest feeling - it is a feeling of victory. A victory which comes from tireless effort, sweat and a lot of hard work from the entire team. Our level of racing requires a special dynamic when it comes to teamwork. There are times when you cannot win, but even still you get the pleasure of participating and driving at breakneck speed - along with a sensation of freedom.”

The teammates have personal favorites that have inspired them throughout their love of motorsports. Aleshin says, “My racing role models are Schumacher, Senna and Fangio. They are legends.” Nebylitskiy agrees, stating, “My favorite driver has always been Michael Schumacher. This is a man with great talent and love for his work, who has given his full potential to achieve the best results.”

Aleshin reflects on his proud moments, stating, “I have had some great personal and professional moments in my racing career so far, but looking back, the best was in 2010 when I won the world championship. I was very proud for my team and my country of Russia.”

Nebylitskiy adds, “There were a few proud moments for me. First and foremost, of course, the first title in karting. This feeling of victory remains forever in me, and my desire to repeat it pushes me so far, verging on possibility. My first podium in the Renault 3.5 carries with it some great memories as well.”

Team RFR is the second Russian motorsports outfit at the international level, after Marussia F1. Team sponsors include Russian companies Norilsk Nickel, Gazprom Neft’s “G-Energy” line and LUDING. French sponsors include Oscaro.com and Château Roc de Calon. And California-based renown luxury brand RITMO MUNDO will be joining Team RFR in Moscow for the weekend event.
