Southern Author Releases New Historical Fiction Novel Set in Germany During the 1950’s

Author, FA Shepherd is pleased to announce the release of his new historical fiction novel, Neubrücke.

Nashville, TN, July 14, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The year is 1958, and in the sleepy little village of Neubrücke, in the southwest corner of Germany, the beer is good and the duty is mostly boring for the GI’s recently deployed there with the army’s 98th General Hospital. However, all that is about to change when rumors start spreading about the construction of a top secret communications facility at a nearby tactical air base. When Russian KGB and East German Stasi agents are sent to investigate Washington responds by sending in the most unlikely team of agents one could imagine. It will be up to two bumbling beer guzzling womanizers and a washed up old bomber pilot to stop the communist plans to steal the secrets. These three men give new meaning to the word counterspy as they deal with a rogue CID boss and unwarranted rumors about themselves in order to find the spies. When they finally do expose a traitor and a vengeful secretary they are surprised to not only find out what the real secret was, but that they weren’t the only ones trying to protect it.

Neubrücke is Freddie’s fourth book and in it he once again uses his writing skills to seamlessly blend history with fiction to weave a riveting narrative.
