In Space was also presented with a Yeti Microphone from Blue Microphones.
In Space is currently featured on the Fender Music Foundation site at http://thefendermusicfoundation.wordpress.com where Andrew Roth states “Music Education helps people. It brings people together. Music is a huge thing in life.”
"In Space," from Granada Hills, CA consists of singer/songwriter/pianist/and guitar player Andrew Roth, and Cory Callahan who is the drummer and backup singer.
Andrew Roth began his career at 10 years old playing the drums in a band called Random. The other band members were all in their 20’s so Andrew got off to an early start playing up and down Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles, venues in Las Vegas, and touring 8 Western states by the time he was 12. During his teenage years he continually wrote music and performed creating a number of bands that lead him to where he is now.
As Harsharan Landa stated in her July, 2011 review about Andrew “We really like the songs we have heard so far from this amazing singer. The Lyrics are extremely thought provoking and sung in such a beautiful and meaningful manner it definitely comes directly out of his soul. He is and will continue to take the music industry by storm!!!”
Peter Burns from ReviewIndie.com states, “In Space composes atmospheric and haunting songs often in typical shoegazing style, achieved by the significant use of echoing effects, and indistinguishable vocal melodies that blend into the creative turbulence of piano and guitar riffs. In Space has all the basic qualities needed in this cross genre style to walk the same musical tightrope as successful bands before them.”
Jeff Weidemoyer from Schooloflitetalent.com calls In Space “One of the more unique bands to ever come to SOET. An alternative, shoegaze, and rock duo, they have a lot of experience between the two of them and this clearly shows in their songwriting abilities.”
Clearly, In Space is taking the music industry by storm. It’s great to find a band that is fresh in its approach and unique in flavor at a time when there is so much repetition of current genre in the Music Industry. Hats off to In Space.
