f8 Photo Studios Provides Cover Art for National Geomatics Magazine

To illustrate article on safety for field workers in urban environments

Raleigh, NC, June 22, 2007 --(PR.com)-- f8 Photo Studios, a full-service photography business in Raleigh, recently provided the cover art for POB (Point of Beginning) magazine, a national publication serving the geomatics profession.

Geomatics is a scientific term referring to the integrated approach of measurement, analysis, and management of the descriptions and locations of Earth-based, or spatial, data. It applies to all disciplines that depend on spatial data, including forestry, environmental studies, planning, engineering, navigation, geology and geophysics.

f8’s cover photograph shows Matt Nappo, survey crew chief for Stewart Engineering in Morrisville, NC, using a Leica Geosystems GPS System with Raleigh’s skyline in the background. This and other f8 photos of Stewart Engineering’s staff in action accompany an article on urban safety in the field, especially where downtown revitalization efforts place field crews in cities afflicted by rising crime rates.

In April, f8 Photo Studios provided cover and editorial photographs for the premiere edition of Carolina Bride magazine, a publication from the Charlotte Observer Publishing Company, Charlotte, NC.

POB is a BNP Media publication with editorial offices located in Troy, Michigan.

f8 Photo Studios, owned and operated by Cara Galati and Jonathan Kaz, has provided photography for Stewart Engineering for two years. Other commercial clients include WedMed Hospital, Samuel Cole Salon, Porto fine furnishings, and Bath Junkie. For more information, visit http://www.f8photostudios.com.
