"FlyEZ" Soars Into Apple App Store

An app to assist anyone with a fear of flying now available for iOS devices.

Houston, TX, July 23, 2012 --(PR.com)-- FlyEZ offers those with aerophobia the opportunity to quell their fears through their iPhones, iPods, or iPads. By combining carefully chosen audio and visuals, FlyEZ diverts users from their sky-high surroundings by presenting an immersive and versatile experience.

For many people, a fear of flying can be triggered or worsened at any point during the flight, whether it is takeoff, mid-air, turbulence, or even landing. Users of FlyEZ can select a narration for the current phase of their flight along with varying musical or audio accompaniments as well as a variety of scenery. Each narration provides breathing exercises, explanations about what happens during that phase of flight, and positive reinforcement in order to reduce anxiety. If users want to close their eyes or want silence, the app can be customized in order to change, pause, or remove audio or scenery.

“Mobile platforms such as tablets and smartphones are an innovative way to assist those with anxiety issues where they do not have access to a therapist. After releasing apps dealing with general relaxation and quitting smoking, it makes sense for us to tackle a common phobia – the fear of flying,” said Dr. Alex Apps co-founder Olga Prokhorov.

FlyEZ is available for $2.99 in the Apple App Store. It is available for all iPhones (3GS or later), iPod Touches (3rd gen or later), and iPads running OS 5.0 or later.

Dr. Alex Apps is a Houston-based mobile development company founded in 2012 with two Russian language apps launched so far. FlyEZ is the first English app released, and more apps are planned in multiple languages for the future.
