Solar Training in Plano on August 20 - Meets NABCEP Requirements

ONTILITY Solar Training Tour Comes to The Metroplex in August

Dallas, TX, July 25, 2012 --(PR.com)-- ONTILITY Solar Training, a leading and nationally recognized solar training company, will offer Solar Electric Installer Training on August 20-24, on the campus of Collin College in Plano, Texas. This intensive five day solar installer training course satisfies 40 hours of the new 58 hour NABCEP educational requirement needed to apply for the NABCEP Certified PV Installer Exam. NABCEP PV Installer Certification continues to gain ground as the industry standard, as more utility companies and government agencies require that systems be installed by a NABCEP Certified Installer for those systems to qualify for incentives.

The solar energy market in the Dallas area continues to grow rapidly and the demand for well trained installers is high. This very comprehensive IREC accredited solar course is designed to prepare workers and businessmen to enter into the solar energy industry. The course comprises advanced subject matter from the NABCEP PV Job Task Analysis and will propel those who take it down the path to a future in the exciting and fast growing solar industry.

The U.S. solar market continues to expand at double- and triple-digit rates. According to a report by The Solar Foundation, installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems grew by 109% in 2011, as compared to 2010, and the production capacity of utility-scale PV almost tripled. This on-going solar industry growth continues to create strong demand for well-trained installers, technicians, salespeople, and contractors. To help meet that demand, ONTILITY Solar Training is expanding the number of cities and states where the IREC accredited professional solar training courses are offered. These newly announced ONTILITY Solar Training Courses will be available in 20 cities, from coast to coast, during the remainder of 2012.

ONTILITY Solar Training works with local communities to respond to growing demand for trained solar workforce by offering Solar Workforce Assistance Grants to all US Military Veterans and unemployed American workers, including skilled construction workers, such as roofers, electricians, and HVAC techs, as well as construction company owners and recent college graduates looking for employment. The grant funds will cover more than half the program fee for the unemployed and 100% of the fee for unemployed U.S. Veterans. For immediate information or to apply for the SWAG program, please call John Berry, Director of Training Enrollment, at 877-495-7863.
