Cherry, Bekaert & Holland’s Ron Wainwright Joins N.C. Association Of Community Colleges Trustees

National CPA Firm’s Tax Partner Elected To Executive Board, Joins 18 Other Members on Behalf of Wake Technical Community College.

Raleigh, NC, July 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Cherry, Bekaert & Holland, L.L.P. (CB&H) (http://www.cbh.com), one of the largest national public accounting and consulting firms headquartered in the Southeast, has announced that Ron Wainwright, tax partner for the firm and trustee for Wake Technical Community College, has been elected to the executive board of the North Carolina Association of Community College Trustees (NCACCT). The NCACCT is a statewide organization dedicated to furthering the goals and development of North Carolina community colleges. Its 19-member executive board, with members from six regions of the state, advocates for community colleges and provides training and support for trustees.

Wainwright will represent Region 3 on the NCACCT board, which includes Alamance, Davidson, Durham, Forsyth, Guilford, Piedmont, Randolph, Rockingham, Vance-Granville and Wake technical community colleges. He was elected by the 805 trustees who represent North Carolina’s 58 community colleges. His four-year term began this month.

Appointed to Wake Tech’s board in 2008 by the Wake County Board of Commissioners, Wainwright is also a member of the Wake Tech Foundation Board of Directors and one of the leaders of the foundation’s major gifts campaign called “The Ripple Effect.” A former chair of the board of directors of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, he is very active in the Raleigh community, serving on the NC State College of Management Board of Directors and the Triangle United Way Board of Advisors.
