Kiran Bedi’s autobiography Dare To Do! For the New Generation, to be released on 30 July 2012, is up for preorder at Infibeam.
Dare To Do! For the New Generation is Kiran Bedi’s autobiography. It illustrates how Kiran, a woman who came to be known as the most renowned IPS officer of India, coped with the challenges she faced as a part of her duty, which involved all aspects of policing. What does her credit is the way she handled it with a feminine compassion without compromising the principles of justice, and abode by justice without being judicious. However, her journey was by no means a cake-walk. She encountered many vested interests on her way – and successfully defeated them.
After her taking voluntary retirement from her services as an IPS officer in December 2007, she continued the good work in a new direction by empowering different communities through her two non-profit organizations. Dare To Do! also contains a very interesting chapter on Women Empowerment, and her views on the subject.
