First Fifty Auto Club of Minnesota is holding their first annual car, truck & bike show from 9am-3pm on Sunday, August 12th, 2012, at The Mermaid Entertainment & Event Center (Mound View, MN) in aid of the Wishes & More Foundation.

Mound View, MN, July 28, 2012 --(PR.com)-- First Fifty Auto Club of Minnesota is holding their first annual car, truck & bike show from 9am-3pm on Sunday, August 12th, 2012, at The Mermaid Entertainment & Event Center in aid of the Wishes & More Foundation.

Take a walk down memory lane with gleaming vintage beauties and rocking fifties music at the “First Annual Darrel Goad’s Raising Hel…p! Car Show”.

All antique, collector, street rods, customs, muscle cars, imports, motorcycles, trucks and specialty interest vehicles - everyone welcome.

Free admission, with donations requested for Wishes & More. Door prizes for donating entrants (including a one-night hotel room stay), goodie bags for the first 50 cars, and award plaques will be given out. Refreshments and concessions will be available for purchase, provided by The Mermaid, and crowd pleasing live music by The Holy Rocka Rollaz to entertain attendees.

The event is in honor of club member, Darrel Goad (nickname “The Coyote Kid”), who passed away from cancer in August of 2011, his faithful black 1956 Ford Custom remaining with him one last time just outside the church doors. A longtime MSRA member, Darrel (Or "Papa D" as his grandchildren fondly called him), loved cars, helping people, and kids; this event combining all three as a tribute. Darrel’s wife Lanette, a club member, said: “Come out and enjoy a great day with family, friends, cars and music – all for a good cause in memory of Darrel.”

About:
First Fifty Auto Club is a non-profit Minnesota car club founded in 1970, and is currently 30 members strong. Their mission is to unite owners and admirers of vehicles in order to promote the preservation and restoration for future generations, and to help those in need in their communities. They raise funds by holding annual car shows to sustain the club in its purpose, and for local charities.

The Wishes & More is a children's wish foundation who grants wishes to children with terminal and life-threatening illnesses, providing hopeful hearts and happy memories and assistance to those that love them.

The Holy Rocka Rollaz are self-proclaimed "car nuts", who play high energy '5o's rock, and have been featured in Rat Rod magazine. They regularly play at the North St. Paul History Cruzer Car Show's on Friday nights throughout the summer, and played at Back to The '50's this year.

The Mermaid Event and Entertainment Center generously donated the use of their premises to help the First Fifty Auto Club in its cause.
