"VConnect Fever" Video on YouTube Records Massive Views in One Week

VConnect, the local search engine of Nigeria successfully released it’s "VConnect Fever" song that went viral with millions of views on Youtube and subsequently organized a Flashmob event in Lagos to help connect users more with their brand.

As part of the viral marketing initiative to connect the "VConnect Fever" song and video with the users, VConnect stunned the huge crowd of shoppers, and fun seekers at the popular Silverbird Galleria Ahmadu Bello way, Victoria Island Lagos on Saturday, July 28, 2012 with a flash mob activation in which a troupe of 100 dancers stormed the Atrium on the ground floor as well as other floors of the mall thrilling the crowd with exciting dance steps.

Shopping and Business activities were going on normally at the ever-busy shopping mall with large turnout being a weekend, until about 6.34 pm when the dance troupe appeared from nowhere dancing to the "VConnect Fever" song with different dance aerobatics. The thrilled crowd could not comprehend what was going on until the dancers took off their shirts to reveal the VConnect branded T Shirts.

Speaking on the milestone, the General Manager Mr. Deepankar Rustagi explained that the "VConnect Fever" video was conceptualized to further connect the users of search engine to the brand and reinforce the varied offering of VConnect to prospective users.
