Beaver, PA, August 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Bridgewater BookFest, sponsored by the Community College of Beaver County, is a free, two-day festival featuring a number of literary-themed events and activities for all ages.

This year BookFest will also include a celebration of The Arts, which will kick off on Sept. 14, from 7-10 p.m., during the Friday Night Block Party. This brand new addition to the festival will feature an open group African dance lesson led by Becky Bickford, live drumming with Bryan Fazio and others, and music by Rick Gilbert. The block party is open to the public and will take place in the BookFest Authors Tent.

BookFest’s Main Event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees will be able to meet dozens of writers who will be signing and selling their books, and giving author talks throughout the day. There will also be a number of artists on hand, selling their works and doing live-art presentations. The festival will also feature food and retail vendors, as well as Children’s Tent (sponsored by PACyber.org), where kids can listen to readings, watch performances, and take part in various activities.

“This is our fourth year in a row, and we’re hoping that it will be the best BookFest yet,” says Valentine J. Brkich, BookFest Committee member. “We’re especially excited about the addition of the Friday Night Block Party and about incorporating The Arts into the festival. We have so many talented artists here in Beaver County, so we’re happy to offer another venue where they can share their incredible talents.”
