“Ask the Regulator” Debuts at Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference

Orlando, FL, August 08, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Attendees at the 67th annual Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference (WCEC) will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with regulators from eight states during the Aug. 19 to 23 gathering in Orlando. The conference and the Southern Association of Workers' Compensation Administrators (SAWCA) are coordinating individual appointment between attendees and regulatory leaders of the workers’ compensation programs from Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Texas, Arkansas, Virginia, South Carolina, and Maryland.

“SAWCA is comprised of 17 southern and southwestern states, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Washington D.C.,” says the Honorable Dwight Lovan, Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Workers’ Claims and 2012 SAWCA President. “One of the goals of SAWCA is to bring together jurisdictional leaders and policy makers with stakeholders from across the workers compensation industry in an effort to share ideas, find solutions to the challenges we all face, and promote fair and cost effective worker’s compensation programs. These ‘one-on-one’ interactions represent a unique opportunity to extend this partnership between jurisdictions and stakeholders.”
