Tampa, FL, August 08, 2012 --(PR.com
)-- Data integrity and business survivability in the face of a natural disaster or unforeseen emergency is often the difference between a company getting back to work quickly or possibly being out of commission for an extended period of time; possibly forever.
Tampa-based Offsite Technology Solutions today announced a new partnership that will provide small businesses with options for securing and backing up data at a secondary secure location. Now small companies can benefit from the same redundancy and continuity plans that large companies have used for years.
Offsite Technology Solutions continues its expansion with independent data center partner, Colo5 based in Jacksonville, Florida. The partnership will bring together the knowledge, service and hardware of Offsite Technology Solutions and the world class security, skill and reliability of the 120,000 square foot hardened Colo5 data center.
"This continues the execution of our business model which is acquiring our own equipment, installing it in a state of the art SAS 70 certified data center, hosting our customers' applications at that site and managing the equipment with highly trained Offsite Technology Solutions' engineers to create a custom cloud solution for our SMB customers. We can now offer our Tampa customers a secondary location to provide data replication and redundant sites for additional security measures when needed,” said Ron Zielin, President of Offsite Technology Solutions.
SAS70 audits are rigorous inspections of the controls and safeguards a company has put in place to manage its customer's data. SAS70 Type II audits provide independent third party verification, by a licensed CPA firm, as to whether these controls and safeguards are operating effectively over a six month period of time.
In addition to compliance certifications held by Colo5 the data center is hardened, secured and features redundant power supply and network access to maintain 99.99% uptime service levels.
"It's highly unlikely that hurricanes will hit both Florida coasts simultaneously. As long as you can connect to the internet, you can access your business software applications hosted by Offsite. You can't host your custom business applications on Microsoft 365 or Google Apps but you can do it with us,” commented Zielin.
Colo5 is a leading independent data center operator offering secure and hardened colocation and disaster recovery services to customers nationwide. With over 140,000 square feet of dedicated facilities, Colo5 provides state-of-the-art security, redundant power systems, and a robust fiber network optimized for performance and speed to a host of demanding customers. Headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, the company's core infrastructure is rated to withstand hurricane category 5 forces to ensure maximum reliability and peace of mind. Colo5's data centers are designed to accommodate the changing power density and cooling needs of the colocation market while maintaining consistently superior levels of customer service and support.
