Complete Landsculpture Offers Free Service for Fallen 140-Year-Old Tree

Complete Landscupture, Dallas Landscaping Company, provides community service for removal of fallen tree from local family's home.

Dallas, TX, June 27, 2007 --(PR.com)-- On a Thursday afternoon following Texas’ stormy spring weather Michele Freeman, a wife of a Complete Landsculpture employee, was watching the evening news. A story came on that made her feel compassion for a local family which led her into action. She watched the news featuring an older couple in a misfortunate ordeal after the previous evening’s storms. The storms downed and left a massive amount of debris from a 140-year-old red oak tree which completely covered the home of the Salazar family, of Oak Cliff, Texas. The enormous tree covered the entire roof and its massive trunk lay in front of their garage, blocking the garage door and making it impossible to get their car out.

Michelle took it upon herself to contact the station to find out how Complete Landsculpture could help. She explained to the reporter that Complete Landsculpture has a dedicated and talented tree division and this is exactly the type of work they do daily. It is a core value of Complete Landsculpture, to give back to the community and this was a great opportunity to do just that. The Salazar family did not have enough money to pay an arborist to remove the tree and wreckage. The city would not take undertake the obligation for the downed tree because it was located on private property. Thus leaving the Salazar’s in a predicament being unable to access the family car.

The owners of Complete Landsculpture, Chris Strempek & Gene Freeman were contacted and felt the compassion to provide free services to the assist the Salazar family. Complete Landsculpture gathered the tree crew together and knocked on the Salazar’s door the very next day. With tears in her eyes, Mary Salazar expressed that her prayers had been answered.

The massive tree would take a skilled and talented group of arborists two full days to clear the debris from the home. Estimated to be 140 years old, by the head of Complete Landsculpture’s maintenance division Michael Williams, the enormous tree measured to be a five foot caliper. The extremely large size amazed everyone. It was a fortunate that no people were injured from the falling of the tree.
