QNAP Security Releases VioStor Firmware V3.6.0 Improving Network Camera Support Including Fisheye Dewarping and Adding QNAP Surveillance Client for Mac

Taipei, Taiwan, August 12, 2012 --(PR.com)-- QNAP® Security, a professional Linux-based stand-alone NVR provider, introduced enhanced video experience with NVR firmware upgrade VioStor V3.6.0. It supports hundreds of IP cameras with ameliorate fisheye dewarping function, and offers new surveillance software QNAP Surveillance Client for Mac.

To provide professional NVR solutions, QNAP VioStor NVR supports more than 1,400 IP cameras with improved multi-streaming and new fisheye dewarping functions. The added support of fisheye dewarping function, available on the web-interface and local display monitoring for Vivotek Fisheye camera FE8171V and ACTi Fisheye camera KCM-3911, assists in practical surveillance management, allowing the administrators to view the monitoring area in a clearer shape. Additionally, function such as PTZ control in dewarping mode is available for Vivotek FE8171V camera.

In VioStor firmware V3.6.0, further improvements include the enhanced system reliability for long-term recording and the newly supported hard disk warning alert which offers pop-up reminder about the disk operation time when the value reaches the preset hours, effectively keeping the administrators well informed of the hard disk status before any hard disk fails completely.

VioStor stand-alone NVRs offer remote monitoring from multiple servers, supporting up to 128 channels of video. The embedded NVR provides rich network video functionality, such as Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA), advanced event management and watermarking. Security managers can obtain useful visual aid with detailed E-maps on monitoring page to improve management efficiency, along with receiving real-time reporting through text messages and emails.
