Gracie had lived her life with her father under the same roof, without ever being touched by his hand, nor had he ever spoken her name. As she grew into a young woman, her life started changing right before her eyes, almost to the point that she couldn’t recognize the way she used to be. Meeting the love of her life caused her to flashback on her childhood, and she then and only then realized that she had grown up to be just like her father. “The apple didn’t fall too far from the tree, did it father!” she screamed.

About the author:
This story is set back in the early 1900’s and falls parallel to the author’s own life as a child. Of course, she was not born back then, but living without running water and toilet facilities and remembering many, many birthday cakes made from flour, sugar and water brings back memories for her. Her book is fiction, but there are true events in the mix. Marsha has a wonderful husband of thirty-five years, three biological children, two adopted sons and six awesome grandchildren. She has also fostered over six hundred needy children with pleasure. She has lived in many states in this country, but always fell back to her hometown in Mingo county, West Virginia.
