New Generator Proves in Public Demo It Can Cut Electricity Costs by 50% or More
A simple concept will dramatically reduce the cost of energy production worldwide. A small company, FTC Energy, Inc., solved a major problem associated with permanent magnet (PM) generators. That problem is cogging. Eliminate cogging and PM generators can produce more power than it takes to turn them. That fact was proven in a live public demo in Italy, TX on July 19th, 2012.
A simple concept could dramatically reduce the cost of energy production worldwide. A small company from Ormond Beach, FL, FTC Energy, Inc., solved a major problem associated with permanent magnet (PM) generators. That problem is cogging. Eliminate cogging and PM generators can produce more power than it takes to turn them. That fact was proven in a live public demo in Italy, TX on July 19th, 2012.
Cogging occurs when magnets inside a generator rotor align with the slots in the stator. This alignment makes the magnets try to stop the generator rotor from turning. Cogging limited the size and positioning of magnets in a generator. It also required more force to turn the generator rotor. Eliminate the cogging and the magnets can be large, turning is easier, and the full power of the magnets can be realized.
FTC Energy, Inc. realized that changing the ratio of magnets to slots eliminated the cogging. Once they did that they were able to install extremely large magnets in their generators. Spinning large magnets past coils of wire does generate more wattage than it takes to spin the rotor.
Because there was a hue and cry that creating a net energy gain was impossible, FTC Energy decided to go to Monolithic Domes in Italy, TX and let the world see the proof. Those attending were urged to bring their own test equipment. The generator cover was removed and all the wiring exposed. Participants were allowed to make any measurement and perform any test. The end results were white papers, videos, and pictures proving FTC Energy had indeed created something that made more power than it consumed. All the media of the event was posted on the Monolithic web site.
According to the company, replacing current generators with the FTC Energy generator will result in major cost reductions. They state motor vehicles will have greater mileage. Electricity will cost less per kilowatt hour. Less fossil fuel will be burned. Wind turbines will be more efficient. Standby generators will run longer. Water turbines will make more power. Air quality, if their assertions are correct, will be vastly improved. Because the generators are scalable, based on the company’s claims, the improvements in efficient will touch every part of the modern world.
FTC Energy’s CEO, Joe Shepard, stated that the company is prepared and anxious to demonstrate the new generator to anyone. FTC Energy filed a utility patent covering the this generator.
