International Contemporary Jewelry Fair to Debut in Miami in December

Miami, FL, August 17, 2012 --(PR.com)-- International Fine Art Expositions is pleased to announce the launch of a completely new jewelry consumer fair model. The International Contemporary Jewelry Fair - ICJF, offers carefully selected and juried jewelry designers from around the world an exciting new platform for private sales through business to consumer dealings, as well as new business to business opportunities.

The inaugural event – designed to appeal to sophisticated, discerning art collectors and jewelry connoisseurs – will be held aboard the luxurious 228’ purpose built megayacht, SeaFair, in the heart of Downtown Miami at Chopin Plaza. The extraordinary exhibition yacht provides the ultimate upscale environment for affluent private clientele, gallery owners and invited retail jewelers.

ICJF, to take place December 4 -9, has been carefully scheduled as international collectors, leading contemporary galleries, and global glitterati gather in Miami for America’s largest annual “contemporary art week” surrounding Art Basel Miami Beach. The premise of the new fair is to present unique jewelry as another form of collectible contemporary art.

The event will cater to international visitors and the prosperous residents of nearby Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Bay Harbor and Fisher Island; all included in Forbes recent list of "America's Millionaire Capitals." According to Forbes, Fisher Island - located only 500 meters from the venue - ranked number one with the highest net worth residents who had an average net worth of $57.2 million. In the booming Miami market, home sales have recently set records at $47M and $40M. Palm Beach – home of many IFAE clients - ranked fourth on the list with an average net worth of $23.3 million and Boca Raton three spots below at $21.2 million. ICJF will invite these elite consumers to view innovative, unique jewelry from exhibiting designers in SeaFair’s personal, private, and elegant environment.

Top specialty boutiques, jewelry retailers, regional and international galleries will be invited to private buying hours. There will be a series of networking opportunities and events throughout the fair to enhance business relationships, providing the intimate, secure setting needed to conduct serious business. Shipside valet parking is available throughout the fair.

Inspired by the auspicious results jewelers have experienced at prestigious fine art fairs in Palm Beach, Naples and Miami since 1997, IFAE identified a need for this fair model to serve the jewelry industry. “We have extensive experience delivering the 'right' clientele to our exhibitors in affluent communities with fairs that are recognized for their comfortable, exclusive environments. This new fair offers a strategic extension to our portfolio of fine events and allows an entirely new group of creative individuals and firms the opportunity to grow and extend their business,” commented David Lester, IFAE Principal.

The fair has already been recognized by respected business and industry publications including National Jeweler and Forbes and is receiving positive feedback from industry leaders.
