The City of Stanton Streamlines Business License Process

Stanton, CA, August 29, 2012 --(PR.com)-- In its efforts to promote the establishment of new business, Stanton officials have approved amendments to the Stanton Municipal Code in order to facilitate a new streamlined business licensing process.

The new business license application has been simplified to expedite the process of establishing a business in Stanton. A two step process has been reduced to one easy to complete form. Also removed are requirements to obtain approval from several City departments and outside agencies. According to Mayor Carol Warren, “Business owners can now expect to get same day over the counter approval and open their doors immediately, if no tenant improvements are proposed.” “The business community is vital to the overall health of Stanton and we are doing everything in our power to create an environment in which businesses can thrive,” added Mayor Carol Warren.

The new application took effect on Monday, July 30th. This new business license application is part of the City’s overall efforts to support and promote the growth of its business community.

The City has also recently enacted several other pro-business efforts, including, the creation of the Stanton Business Alliance and a business website dedicated solely for the business community (www.StantonBusinessAlliance.com). Also recently made available is an Available Site Inventory list, which provides the public with information on commercial, industrial, and retail properties that are available for lease or sale, and the “Shop Stanton” program, a shop local discount program designed to provide shoppers with discounts, support local businesses, and keep needed tax dollars in the City.
