William Peace University Names Lori Holcomb McClaren, Ph.D., as Director of Online Programs

Local Four-Year Baccalaureate University Adds New Director for the School of Professional Studies.

Raleigh, NC, August 30, 2012 --(PR.com)-- William Peace University (http://www.peace.edu), a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, has announced that Lori Holcomb McClaren, Ph.D., has been named director of online programs. In this position, McClaren will be responsible for overseeing all online courses and programs offered within the School of Professional Studies, as well as working alongside university faculty to develop and deliver online curriculums for enhanced distance education. The online degree program, through the School of Professional Studies, provides distance learning courses to nontraditional students and offers a Bachelor of Science in business administration, a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. With an extensive career in distance education, McClaren previously served as the assistant professor of instructional technology at NC State University, where she taught instructional technology courses at the graduate level within the College of Education.

- McClaren earned a Bachelor of Arts in early childhood education from Clemson University, a Master of Arts in educational psychology from the University of Connecticut and a Doctorate in educational psychology: cognition and instruction.
