Hot Headliner and Co-Features for Friday Night Fights Aug. 31 at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino

Dover, DE, August 30, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Friday Night Fights on Aug. 31 has a packed card with a female title headliner and two light heavyweight co-features that promise an exciting night of boxing in the Rollins Center. The main event features “Queen” Ronica Jeffrey of Brooklyn, N.Y., with a record of 10(1)-0 against “Lethal” Lindsay Garbatt of Oshawa, Ontario with a record of 7(3)-5 for the World Boxing Council Silver Super Featherweight Title.

“I've seen Lindsay fight in the past. She defeated one of my former stable mates,” said Jeffrey. “Lindsay has fought and beat a lot of good boxers. She has speed and the ability to knock you out at any point in the fight. But on August 31st, I'm gonna show all the great fans at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino why they call me the ‘Queen’.”

Jeffrey’s opponent, “Lethal” Lindsay Garbatt states, “I’m looking forward to it. I’m obviously coming off a tough loss that was unfortunate. But I’m training hard, back at the gym. And I want to redeem myself, put on a good show and just have some fun again.”

One of the night’s co-features pits Dennis “The Assassin” Hasson of Philadelphia, Pa., with a record of 14(5)-0 against Daniel Judah, 23(10)-9-3, of Brooklyn, N.Y. Both are primed and ready to go the distance in what promises to be a tough battle to the end. Both fighters say they are ready to go. “Training is going really well; preparation is right on point,” said Hasson. “Come Friday, you’re going to see the best of me and it sounds like we will see the best of Judah. May the best man win. Both of us are coming prepared so it will be a good fight for the fans.”

"I've seen Dennis fight a couple times and he is very talented,” said Judah. “Unfortunately for him I’ve dedicated myself to the sport that I love. I am training for this fight very seriously like it’s a title fight. When we meet on the 31st it's gonna be the rebirth of Daniel Judah."

The other co-feature will showcase light heavyweight “The Bull” Anthony “Caputo” Smith, 13(10)-0, of Kennett Square, Pa., against Kevin “Hitman” Engel, 18(15)-6, of St. Louis, Mo. “We’ve been training really hard so I’m ready to do whatever I have to do in there to get a win,” said Smith. “He’s a taller guy so were going to have to break him down and we are ready to go the 8 rounds. I think it’s going to be a slugfest.”

Engel has a different take on the match up. “I’ve been training for about 3 months straight,” said Engel. “I also do mixed martial arts so I stay in shape. I’ve just continued training and switched back over to boxing training. I think Smith likes to come straight forward and with a hard punch, and I do also, so I’m thinking that’s going to make for a very entertaining match.”
