Alpha Energy Partners with Corvus Energy to Expand High Power Battery Offering

Bellingham, WA, August 30, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Alpha Energy, a leading developer of renewable energy solutions, today announced a preferred partnership agreement with Corvus Energy to supplement its established line of high-performance battery solutions with state-of-the-art lithium polymer technology.

“Alpha’s renewable energy projects are diverse in both operating conditions and power load requirements,” said Gord Petroski, Business Development for Alpha Energy. “The addition of Corvus Lithium Polymer batteries will provide a flexible and reliable solution for those demanding, high-power applications while simultaneously maintaining a small carbon footprint.”

As part of the mutual agreement, Alpha and Corvus have agreed to leverage their respective sales and marketing teams’ capabilities as well as regional strengths to bring more integrated solutions to their global customer base. The companies have already started to pursue joint business opportunities in North America, the Caribbean and Africa with future opportunities in locations worldwide.

Alpha Energy provides a wide range of battery options for renewable energy applications with various power capacities and runtimes such as the top terminal AlphaCell RE and front terminal EnergyCell RE. The addition of lithium polymer technology will further complement Alpha’s energy storage solutions with an added emphasis on durability, versatility and intelligent system management.

To ensure maximum durability in all applications, Corvus lithium polymer batteries are rated and validated to withstand a 50G impact and 8G 5-axis vibrations, providing an ideal solution for demanding mobile applications. Also tested by a major American undersea facility, the batteries are IP67 rated for submersion and have been tested for operation at 22,000 feet below sea level (6.7 kilometers). Each unit is fully sealed and waterproofed for ultimate protection.

For enhanced flexibility and streamlined performance, Corvus Lithium Polymer batteries feature a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 60°C, extended working life of up to 20 years and rapid charge/discharge rates. Significant operator benefits include an onboard battery management system, real-time remote monitoring capabilities and maintenance-free operation.

“Both Corvus and Alpha Energy are leaders in our respective markets and this agreement will combine our technology expertise to address customers’ business needs with a strong and compelling solution for advanced battery power management,” said Corvus Energy’s CEO Brent Perry.
