Edward Pinchiff Joins the Huntington Beach High School Board Race to Help the Kids

Edward C. Pinchiff has joined the race for the Governing Board of the Huntington Beach Union High School District and will be on the ballot in the November election in Orange County, California. High schools within the District serve about 16,000 students in the Cities of Huntington Beach, Westminster and Fountain Valley.

Huntington Beach, CA, September 02, 2012 --(PR.com)-- The Campaign to Elect Edward C. Pinchiff to the Huntington Beach Union High School District Governing Board announced that Edward Pinchiff is officially a candidate. Mr. Pinchiff successfully filed nomination papers with the Registrar of Voters for Orange County qualifying Mr. Pinchiff to be placed on the November ballot.

When asked about his candidacy, Edward Pinchiff said,

"I am not a career politician. I am in this race for my family and yours. It’s about the kids and ensuring that our High School District provides a top-tier education in a safe environment.

"Education is the key to opportunity for our children, our community, and the future. I will work to enhance the student learning experience with upgraded technology, small class sizes, challenging core curricula, and increased support for struggling students. I will support our teachers with opportunities for professional development and skill workshops so they are more effective in the classroom.

"I believe in the power of education to create opportunity for our children’s future, to make their lives more meaningful, and to help our communities prosper."

The Huntington Beach Union High School District is governed by a Board consisting of five members elected by voters within the High School District. The Board provides citizen oversight of the schools within the District.

The Huntington Beach Union High School District includes six traditional high schools, one continuation high school, two alternative schools, and one adult school. These schools serve about 16,000 students in the City of Huntington Beach and parts of the Cities of Westminster and Fountain Valley.

Schools within the Huntington Beach Union High School District include: Huntington Beach High School, Westminster High School, Fountain Valley High School, Marina High School, Edison High School, Ocean View High School, Valley Vista High School, Community Day School, Coast High School, and Huntington Beach Adult School.
