Las Vegas, NV, September 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Professor Darling is a romantic suspense novel involving a prestigious but shy professor at the University of California, Berkeley, who rescued a woman from a fatal car crash on the rugged Coast Highway north of San Francisco. It was later revealed that the woman was a famous sexy Hollywood movie star who then wants to “use” the professor to provide her with prestige, respectability, and additional publicity. Despite the beauty and sexy fame of the starlet, however, the professor does not want to become romantically involved with her and feels that she will ruin his reputation and career. Instead, he has a romantic relationship with another woman. His love affair with the latter, however, is complicated by the efforts of the starlet to ensnarl him. The whole affair ends with a murder, with the professor being considered the prime suspect.

Professor Darling is the second book in the “Darling Series.” The other books include Admiral Darling (ISBN: 9781462650613) and Architect Darling (ISBN: 9781477107058).

About The Author
Walter John Trowbridge served in the US Army during the Korean War and he has no direct experience with Navy life or operation, nor any naval vessels. The portrayal indicated in this novel about the Navy and its ships, other than the general historical background, are fabricated for the sake of the love affair.

Further, except for an occasion reference to the commanding admirals, all the characters in the novel are fictitious and have no reference to the actual officers and men who actually served on any of the ships.

The author has only visited Manila once, but he has lived in Jakarta (Batavia), Indonesia, for three years in the post-war period. He visited many other places in Indonesia, including Bogor, Bandung, and Bali many times, and Surabaya, Borneo, and Cilacap (Tjilatjap) each once. But again, the accounts and description of these places in the novel are purely fictional and are based on post-war experiences.
