Introducing Bomber aka Kirk Edwards…

Bomber grew up in the North Area of London from Jamaican descent. Already having a taste of the music industry Bomber is back and ready to explode on unexpected ears.

Having brought himself to the limelight Bomber aka Kirk Edwards has shown what he can do and has performed alongside names such as Chipmunk.

He grew up with his Jamaican mother, older brother and sister on Bounces Road, North London. He always had the sweet, groovy tunes of reggae flowing throughout the household, this made it easy for Kirk to take to the likes of Dennis Brown, Alton Ellis and Ken Boothe. He loves to imitate the reggae master Bob Marley at any opportunity, “I always loved the way he was able to capture perfect emotion with his melodies & wasn’t afraid to say what others wouldn’t with his testing lyrics.”

Music was always around him when he lived with his mother from reggae to the sounds of motown but it was when Bomber was at secondary school he was introduced to the art of MCing. Being inspired by acts such as So Solid Crew and Lethal B at 14 he decided to take his chance at trying MCing. He competed in many underground MC battles and this actually led to him being featured on “Heat FM.” As he matures, the art has become more perfect and has matured with him; he loves to rap but also loves the music he was blessed with as a child.

As Bomber moved into College, he studied a BTEC National Diploma at Oaklands College, St Albans. Another influence came into play at this time when he was exposed to Alternative Rock and the Brit Award Nominees The Feeling, Kirk say, “The Feeling are one of the best live acts I have ever seen.” Coldplay also earned a place in his music collection. With so many inspirations from different genre’s there he knew that he wanted to follow in his idols footsteps.

A friend of Bomber who was organizing a Fresher’s Night at Uni asked him to perform there giving Kirk a taste of live performing, but this wasn’t all, the word spread to other universities and it turned into a university tour.

Bomber was actually signed to the label No Face Records and it was at this time another female rapper… Bashy asked him to perform at a community event where he got the chance to perform live with British rapper Chipmunk. He then went onto get signed by Adixton Records who went into administration and left Bomber unsigned again.

Bomber’s brother used to work at UMG and put him in contact with music manager, Adrian Sykes of EMI music. It was a good result as he got great feedback but at that time Adrian was working with pop star Emeli Sande.

Now Bomber has started work with Totally Amazing Artist Promo & PR where he has been assigned a new manager and plans look imminent. Now with a first single to be released as a promo track in the very near future, not an official debut. Also the new Bomber website http://www.bomberuk.com is offering a Free track, On My Way from Bomber also…. On My Way is a great dance floor anthem and is said to show the world that he is in fact on his way.

This year will be the year for the kid with the clean flow, as he is often referred to as, whose way with words and ear for a tough, infectious beat and sinuous, memorable melody.
